TRANSFORMING ADULT EDUCATION
The West Kern Adult Education Network (WKAEN) is a state-funded program providing support for adult education in West Kern. In the Spring of 2016, the West Kern Adult Education Network officially opened its doors at the Historic Taft Fort with the vision: "The consortium will ensure that all residents have access to sufficient and effective resources, training, and support required to meet community needs for high school equivalency, literacy, English as a Second Language (ESL), and citizenship education."
LOCATION
WKAEN's population base is around 27,000 residents which serves the rural areas of Taft, Maricopa, McKittrick, Tupman, Fellows, Valley Acres, Dustin Acres, and Derby Acres.
