ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (ESL)

Here at West Kern Adult Education Network, our goal is to prepare non-native English speakers from varying academic, vocational and personal backgrounds with sufficient English to communicate effectively in the community. Currently, West Kern Adult Education Network offers three levels of ESL:

ESL NOVICE (Level 1)

ESL BASIC (Level 2)

ESL INTERMEDIATE (Level 3)

ENROLLMENT INFORMATION

Our ESL classes are conducted on a "rolling" basis, meaning we do not have start and stop dates. Upon enrolling, all students must undergo a CASAS assessment to determine which of the three (3) ESL class levels are most suitable for you. At this time, you will receive more information about class times, dates, and how long it will take to advance to the next level.

All testing is completed on-site in our Testing Center (Suite 22).
